Master Knueppel started training in Tae Kwon Do in 1981 while in college at Moorhead State University in Minnesota.  After graduation he moved to the Chicago suburbs and spent the next 12 years studying both Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do with Grand Master Sang Chel Chung (www.chungstkd.com) before relocating to Palmer, Alaska.
 
Master Knueppel is a 4th degree Black Belt, Kukkiwon certified,
and a Level 1 Poomsae and B-2 level referee for USA Taekwondo. He has more than 30 years of experience in both. He has given many demonstrations in and has taught self-defense classes to adults and students at colleges, high schools, and grammar schools. Chung's Tae Kwon Do Institute is located at 10355 Palmer-Wasilla Hwy., Palmer, AK  99645. Just like his mentor Grand Master Chung, Master Knueppel spends many hours on research in order to present as much information to his students as possible. He lives by the philosophies of Tae Kwon Do and his goal is to improve society by rebuilding, enhancing, and strengthening the individual's character.
